Ondanks de wat tegenvallende kijkcijfers heeft ABC toch een tweede seizoen besteld van Alyssa serie ‘Mistresses’. In de zomer van 2014 zal de serie weer te zien zijn op de zender, het is nog onbekend wanneer precies en met hoeveel afleveringen.

ABC has renewed the summer soapy drama for a second season, to air next summer. There is no word yet as to how many episodes will air. Season 1 featured 13 episodes over the course of the summer, with a two-week hiatus due to the “Bachelorette” finale and the CMA music festival.
The show averaged roughly 4 million viewers per episode and was the summer’s no. 2 scripted series after “Under the Dome.” It aired simultaneously in Canada during the U.S. broadcast and debuted in July in the U.K. It will debut Sept. 30 in Australia.
