De Charmed-actrice gaat de hele week al volledig los op Twitter. Zo sneerde ze Ben Affleck ‘to f*** off’ en liet ze geen spaan heel van filmproducer Harvey Weinstein, die zwaar onder vuur ligt omdat hij tal van actrices heeft aangerand of seksueel geïntimideerd. Rose is zelf ook slachtoffer en vooral kwaad om het feit dat Ben en maatje Matt Damon zich niet hebben uitgesproken tegen de machtige filmproducent, met wie zij de film Good Will Hunting maakten. “Hoe is het nou om een ruggengraatloze profiteur te zijn die zich niet durft uit te spreken?” aldus een furieuze Rose.

Behalve Rose McGowan hebben ook Angelina Jolie en Gwyneth Paltrow aangegeven slachtoffer te zijn geweest van Harveys praktijken. George Clooney vindt dat ‘als de beschuldigingen waar zijn’ dit ‘niet te verdedigen is’. Hij is een van de weinige grote acteurs die zich openbaar heeft uitgelaten over de zaak die Hollywood op zijn grondvesten heeft doen schudden.

After announcing earlier this year that her breast cancer is in remission, Shannen Doherty has shared the importance of keeping a positive attitude amidst an ordeal and how cancer brought out a better version of herself.

It was in 2015 when it was revealed that Doherty had breast cancer. However, many fans of the former “Charmed” star felt relieved when she shared in an Instagram post last April that she was on her way to recovery as her breast cancer is already in remission.

Despite the improvement, Doherty knows that the first five years are crucial but this doesn’t stop her from keeping a positive attitude as she patiently waits.

The actress’ positivity is so apparent that it manifests in Doherty’s physical appearance. Recently, Doherty attended the benefit for the Farrah Fawcett Foundation where she rocked a short do, something that she loves most of the time, she claimed. However, more than her physical appearance, Doherty’s positivity was evident in her words when she started talking about the ordeal she went through for almost two years.

“It’s the attitude that you have. I was working out during chemo… because I just knew if I didn’t move and get my body going, that my recovery would be a lot harder… It’s just always important to believe there is a rainbow on the other side and that there are beautiful things that come out of the worst situations possible. I’ve learned so much about myself,” Doherty told Extra TV.

Doherty also went to reveal that cancer has transformed her into a better version of herself. According to the actress, she has become a kinder person since her battle with cancer and allows her new-found kindness to show. Because of this, the actress has been rewarded with new people in her life that she now cherishes.

“I’ve developed friendships that are so valuable to me,” Doherty shared.

KYLIE Minogue and Guy Pearce’s highly anticipated Gold Coast-filmed comedy/drama finally has a release date — and a new name.

Swinging Safari, shot on the Coast last October under the working title Flammable Children, will show the city’s natural assets off on the big screen when it lands in Australian cinemas during the lucrative summer box-office season on January 11.

Written and directed by The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert director Stephan Elliott, Swinging Safari also stars Radha Mitchell, Julian McMahon, Asher Keddie, Jeremy Sims, Darcey Wilson and newcomer Atticus Robb.

Aussie acting great Jack Thompson also makes a cameo appearance as the Mayor of the seaside town in which the film is set.

Shot on the Coast in October at locations including Snapper Rocks, Currumbin and Southport, the film follows the mayhem that ensures when a 200-tonne blue whale gets washed up on a local beach.

One of the most anticipated Aussie films due out next year, post production on the feature wrapped on August 7.

The Piccadilly Pictures production, to be distributed by Becker Film Group, features set design by Mad Max: Fury Road’s Colin Gibson, whose team has perfectly recreated 1975 suburban Australia for the film.

Jointly financed by Screen Australia, Piccadilly Pictures, Screen Queensland, Screen NSW and Cutting Edge, Swinging Safari was produced by Al Clark for Wildheart Films and Jamie Hilton and co-producer Ester Harding for See Pictures.

Nip/Tuck alum Julian McMahon has joined the cast of Hulu’s new original series Marvel’s Runaways from Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.

Created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, Marvel’s Runaways is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand one another but who must unite against a common foe – their parents.

McMahon will play Jonah. While his origins and ultimate intentions are unknown, he is a pivotal player in the Runaways’ rebellion against their parents.

“We’re incredibly excited to add Julian to our exceptional cast and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the world of Marvel’s Runaways,” said executive producers /showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb also executive produces with Jim Chory. Fake Empire’s Lis Rowinski will produce.

McMahon also stars in Stephan Elliott’s upcoming comedy-drama, Flammable Children, opposite Guy Pearce, Rhada Mitchell, and Kylie Minogue. He can also be seen in a starring role indie thriller, Monster Party, directed by Chris Von Hoffmann. McMahon is repped by MGMT. Entertainment, Paradigm, and Bloom Hergott Diemer.

Marvel’s Runaways is set to premiere November 21 on Hulu.

“I think we’re all into it,” the 44-year-old told Closer Weekly. “You know, we kind of all feel a specific way about it, which is what we did in 1984 and it was very forward-thinking — you know, it was a show about a single, divorced woman, mom, who was living with her very promiscuous mother, who also owned her own business, and that just wasn’t depicted on television at that time.

“Then she hired a dude to become her housekeeper, who was a single father. I mean, it was very progressive for that time period and what was on TV at that time, which were family sitcoms. So, really, I feel like we were like a ‘Modern Family’ type of show, so keeping that in mind, I think we’d all be open to it if it lived up to what we did then.”

It also helps that everyone from “Who’s the Boss” are still closely connected.

“I still talk to everybody,” insisted Milano. “The only person who is a little difficult to keep in touch with is Katherine [Helmond] because she’s not on social media or email or anything. She’s in her 90s, but I still communicate with her over the phone and I just saw her — we did the Entertainment Weekly reunion issue and I just got to spend time with her in person, but yeah, we all talk.”

However, there’s one former cast-mate Milano talks to the most.

“Probably Tony [Danza],” she admitted. “He checks in all the time just to see how the kinds are doing, he’s very sweet.”
