Ik heb foto’s toegevoegd van Holly in trouwerij met David W. Donoho, ze was met hem getrouwd van 2014 tot 2011 en hebben 3 kinderen. Tijdens hun trouwerij was Holly 7 maanden zwanger van hun eerste zoon Finley. Het stel had elkaar ontmoet op de set van ‘Charmed’ waar David werkte als crewlid.

Actrice Madeleine Mantock is gecast als de middelste zus Macy in de nieuwe ‘Charmed’ reeks. Hiermee zijn de nieuwe ‘Charmed Ones’ compleet. Madeleine had eerder al een rol in de CW serie ‘The Tomorrow People’ en was te zien in de serie ‘Into the Badlands’.

The new generation of Charmed Ones is officially complete. The CW has cast Madeleine Mantock as its third and final sister for their “Charmed” reboot pilot.

Mantock will play Macy, who is described as a practical, driven, and brilliant geneticist, a person with knowledge of production tells TheWrap. Her world is blown open when she discovers that the supernatural world is all too real.

The “Into the Badlands” alum joins previously announced “sisters” Melonie Diaz and Sarah Jeffery. Ser’Darius Blain and Rupert Evans will also star in the reboot pilot.

Here is the project’s, which was originally developed last cycle and passed on by the network, official logline: “After the tragic death of their mother, three sisters in a college town are stunned to discover they are witches. Soon this powerful threesome must stand together to fight the everyday and supernatural battles that all modern witches must face: from vanquishing powerful demons to toppling the patriarchy.”

“Jane the Virgin” creator Jennie Urman will executive produce and has a story credit on the pilot, written by “Jane” alums Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin. Ben Silverman and director Brad Silberling will also serve as executive producers on the pilot from CBS Television Studios.

The pilot is a retool of the Aaron Spelling series starring Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty and Rose McGowan, which ran on The WB, now The CW, from 1998-2006.

De website Stuff.co.nz heeft een stuk uit Rose’s boek ‘Brave’ online gepubliceerd waarin ze praat over haar jaren bij de tv-serie ‘Charmed’. Hierin is Rose niet geheel positief over haar persoonlijke ervaringen op de set van de serie.

Zo onthult ze dat ze blij was gevraagd te zijn voor de rol in de serie, omdat ze zoals ze zelf aangeeft weinig gevraagd werd voor nieuwe rollen nadat ze producer Harvey Weinstein enkele jaren daarvoor had beschuldigd van verkrachting. Verder geeft ze aan moeite te hebben met het zware opname schema van de serie die niet overeenkwam maar haar eigen leefrimte, ook zou ze een contract hebben getekend wat niet persé goed was voor haar eigen inkomen maar vooral die van andere. Ook onthult ze enkele negatieve aanvaringen te hebben gehad met crew-leden maar zich hierin niet gehoord voelde. Ze geeft aan blij te zijn dat de serie voor fans een iets positief brachts, terwijl ze de periode van de serie zelf niet als positief ervaarde. Ook geeft aan dat ze moeite had met de paparazzi en enkele negatieve ervaringen heeft gehad met fans die haar persoonlijke ruimte niet respecteerde. Iets wat vooral na het einde van de serie volgens Rose’s extremer is geworden door o.a. de macht van roddelwebsite’s.

I was in Romania when I got a phone call from Aaron Spelling, a legendary TV producer, famous for a slew of wildly successful if cheesy shows like The Love Boat and Dynasty and 90210.

He told me about a show called Charmed that had been on for three seasons; it was about good witches who helped protect the world from evil. There had been a major cast shake-up. Shannen Doherty, the show’s main star, was leaving the show and they were writing in a new character. Would I consider playing a role on television?

I didn’t know what Charmed was, but I was curious. On the flight home from Romania, the pilot episode of Charmed was available to watch. I have never seen Charmed offered on a plane since then, just that one flight. It felt like kismet. I’d been looking for a sign, and there it was. I thought the pilot episode was pretty cool so I agreed to meet and talk. It felt nice to be wanted after so much rejection and knowing I was blacklisted by my omnipresent Monster.

The bigwig’s office on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles was like a football field of deep white shag rug. So deep I couldn’t see my high heels. A tiny little man, probably about five feet tall, was sitting behind a big desk, attended by his butler in tails. This was the legendary Aaron Spelling. It was wild because I used to love watching Dynasty with my mother when I was little and here I was now with the head honcho.

The butler brought Mr Spelling this big crystal goblet of blue Gatorade with a bent straw on a silver tray. I’ll always remember that. I imagined the conversation with Spelling: I like a bent straw. I just love that.

He was a sweet man. I didn’t dislike him; in fact, I thought he was kind of cute. The whole time I was in the meeting, I was imagining him with blue troll doll hair. That’s what I often did so I wouldn’t be nervous.

I started to speak and noticed Mr Spelling looking at me like I was part alien, and so did the couple of other executives who were in the meeting. That always happened everywhere I went in Hollywood. I think it was because the way I looked and the way I spoke were two very different things. Meaning I looked like a stylised bombshell, but definitely did not speak like one. People in Hollywood and the media world really did not know what to make of me. Instead of seeing me as an artist and mind, they put me in the “bad girl” category. They couldn’t seem to hear a f…ing word that came out of my mouth because they were too f…ing stupid. Tedious. I’m like the most patient impatient person in the world.

I was fine with being known as a rebel, but worldwide condemnation of you for being a bad girl will seep into your head. Plus, the “you’re bad” thing triggered a lot of my father’s earlier words and made them echo in my head. The old fear of being homeless, being helpless, began to creep back. I was scared of television because I’d heard that hours were brutal, and I didn’t know anything about that world. I barely watched TV. But it was a job. There was about to be an actors’ strike in Hollywood. I knew there might not be work for the next two years.

I started to think seriously about doing the show.

Acteur Rupert Evans is gecast in de rol van Harry in de nieuwe ‘Charmed’ reeks. Deze wordt opgeschreven als een professor die knap, grandioos en een verteller met een woedende charme en een mysterieuze interesse in de zussen. Wat doet vermoeden dat hij de Whitelighter is van de zussen, al is dit nog niet bevestigd. De 40-jarige Engelse acteur is vooral bekend uit de film ‘Hellboy’ en is momenteel te zien in de serie ‘The Man in the High Castle’.

Charmed 2.0 has found its new Leo!

Man in the High Castle star Rupert Evans has joined the CW’s reboot pilot in the series-regular role of Harry, a professor, handsome, grandiose, a raconteur with an infuriating charm and a mysterious interest in the three sisters. Translation: He’s their Whitelighter.

If The CW hands Charmed a series order, it’s unclear what impact it would have on Evans’ involvement in a potential fourth season of High Castle. Production on Season 3 has reportedly wrapped, although Amazon has not announced a premiere date.

Charmed — a new take on The WB’s 1998-2006 series starring Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and (in later seasons) Rose McGowan — centers on three sisters living in a college town who discover they’re witches. Two of those sisters will be played by Melonie Diaz (VH1’s The Breaks) and Sarah Jeffery (Shades of Blue). The third sister is still being cast.

Paramount Network heeft de release van de nieuwe ‘Heathers’ series uitgesteld. Deze zou op 7 maart uitkomen maar door de recente schietpartij op een middelbare school in Parkland vinden ze dit niet meer gepast door onderwerpen die in de serie aan bod komen. De planning is nu dat de serie later in het jaar uitkomt. Vele mensen vragen zie nu af al de serie voor nu te ongepast zou zijn of dit over enkele maanden nog steeds niet het geval zal zijn. De screening van de serie in New York die gepland stond op 6 maart is ook afgezegd en vooralsnog is er nog geen nieuwe release datum bekend gemaakt.

Shannen die al te zien was in de originele ‘Heathers’ film had in de nieuwe serie ook een rol, van de week verscheen de eerste aflevering van de serie al online.

The Paramount Network is pushing back the planned release of the TV series adaptation of “Heathers” due to the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

“Paramount Network’s original series ‘Heathers’ is a satirical comedy that takes creative risks in dealing with many of society’s most challenging subjects ranging from personal identity to race and socio-economic status to gun violence,” the Viacom-owned network said in a statement. “While we stand firmly behind the show, in light of the recent tragic events in Florida and out of respect for the victims, their families and loved ones, we feel the right thing to do is delay the premiere until later this year.”

The series was originally supposed to launch on March 7. A new premiere date has not yet been determined. The show was originally ordered at fellow Viacom network TV Land before moving over to Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) last year.

On Feb. 14, a former student of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland gunned down 17 people. The shooter, 19-year old Nikolas Cruz, was apprehended about an hour after shots were reported. Student survivors from Stoneman Douglas have pushed for new gun control legislation since the shooting, with a “March for Our Lives” rally planned in Washington D.C. on March 24.

The show, based on the 1988 movie of the same name, is described a pitch-black comedy anthology set in the present day, featuring a group of all-new Heathers, who have the same character names from the original film, but this time, the outcasts are the ones who have become high school royalty. Shannon Doherty’s original character Heather Duke will be played by male actor Brendan Scannell in the revitalized role of a character who identifies as gender-queer; Heather McNamara (originally played by Lisanne Falk in the film) is now a black lesbian played by Jasmine Mathews; and Heather Chandler (originally Kim Walker in the movie) will be played by Melanie Field. James Scully and Grace Victoria Cox will play J.D. and Veronica, the roles originally played by Christian Slater and Winona Ryder.

The film saw Slater and Ryder’s characters seeking lethal vengeance against the popular clique in their high school, culminating in Slater’s character trying to kill many of their fellow students with explosives during a pep rally.

After success as a junior and amateur, Karl’s budding career already lists wins in FEI World Cup qualifiers and hosts of top placings at major shows across North America — predominantly on the West Coast, where he hopes to help elevate the sport.

Kaley also started riding because of her mother. “I owe my love of horses to my mom,” she said. “I played tennis as a kid and junior, and when I got my first TV series at 15, I needed to find another hobby. My mom said, ‘Take a riding lesson, you will love it!’ And the rest is history!”

‘Shades of Blue’ actrice Sarah Jeffery is gecast in als Madison in de nieuwe ‘Charmed’ reboot, hierdoor is de nieuwe Power of Three bijna compleet. Sarah was eerder ook al te zien in de de tv serie ‘Rogue’ en de nieuwe ‘X Files’ reeks.

Sarah Jeffery, a name from NBC’s Shades of Blue and Fox’s X-Files revival, has joined Melonie Diaz as one of the witchy sisters of The CW’s new Charmed pilot.

While the original Charmed focused on Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) — Doherty was replaced in later seasons with Rose McGowan as Paige — the “fierce, funny, feminist” reboot will focus on three sisters in a college town who go from cutting down the patriarchy to cutting down demons when they learn they are witches.

Jeffery will play Madison, the bubbly youngest sister who isn’t thrilled about the whole witchcraft thing, especially if it conflicts with her goal of getting into a sorority.

According to Deadline, one of Madison’s three sisters will be Mel (Diaz), an outspoken activist who loses her way after a family tragedy, and actor Ser’Darius Blain (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) will play the filmmaker boyfriend of Macy, the yet-to-be-cast third sister.

Jennie Snyder Urman of Jane the Virgin created this new take on Charmed with Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin, who penned the pilot. Snyder Urman will act as showrunner and also executive-produce with O’Toole and Rardin.
