Kayley Cuoco is making a lot of big changes in her life. Not long after she wrapped the final season of her hit show The Big Bang Theory, the actress is selling her Tarzana, California, mansion for $6.9 million. In fact, it was listed just one week before the series finale airs on May 16.

While it’s unclear where her next move will be, it’s hard to imagine anything dreamier than this gated Mediterranean-style villa. It has six bedrooms (all with en suite bathrooms) and nine bathrooms, and was meticulously designed by Jeff Andrews, who also decorated the space for the previous owner, Khloé Kardashian. Cuoco loved his work so much, she actually requested to keep pieces owned by the reality star.

“I fell in love with the house but also everything that came with it,” she wrote in the foreword for Andrews’s new book, The New Glamour, in which her home was featured. “The interior decoration, the furniture, the art—I wanted it all!”

Cuoco has said that her dogs love to sit on the BDDW swing in her living room, calling it “the most expensive dog bed I’ve ever bought.”

The blond beauty, who now shares the home with her husband, equestrian Karl Cook, worked with Andrews to make changes throughout the house and to make it her own. For example, she had a custom rug made for the living room to match the colors in her favorite painting. She also added a working swing made of bronze and leather to show off her playful aesthetic. Equestrian-print Hermès wallpaper in the breakfast nook and other horse decor around the home really spoke to the couple’s love of animals.

“All the horse touches in the house make it feel like home,” Cuoco told People.

Elsewhere in the 8,000-square-foot home, you’ll find a huge chef’s kitchen, a movie theater, formal dining and living rooms, a master suite with three walk-in closets, and a terrace. The master bath boasts dual sinks, a spa tub, and a shower with customizable temperature settings and music capability. The backyard is reminiscent of a high-end resort, and comes complete with a pool, spa, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, and a covered dining area.

Met een tweet protesteert Hollywoodactrice Alyssa Milano tegen de strenge abortusregels in de Verenigde Staten. Ze roept andere vrouwen op geen seks te hebben ’totdat we onze lichaamsautonomie terughebben’.

Alyssa Milano maakt zich kwaad over de nieuwe wet die deze week in de staat Georgia is aangenomen. De staat wil abortus na de zesde week van de zwangerschap verbieden.

Zodra een arts de hartslag bij de foetus kan horen, moet abortus volgens de wet verboden worden. Daarom wordt het de heartbeat-wet genoemd. Tot deze week mochten vrouwen nog tot twintig weken zwangerschap abortus laten plegen.

Wet aangenomen
Alleen gouverneur Brian Kemp moest de wet nog ondertekenen. Voordat hij dat deed, twitterde hij: “Georgia hecht waarde aan het leven, we komen op voor de onschuldigen en spreken voor degenen die niet voor zichzelf kunnen spreken.”

Tegenstanders van de wet wijzen erop dat vrouwen bij zes weken zwangerschap vaak niet eens weten dat ze zwanger zijn. Daar had Kemp geen boodschap aan, hij tekende deze week en nam de wet aan.

Geen opnames meer
Meerdere acteurs en actrices wilden met een open brief nog tegengaan dat Kemp zou tekenen. Zo’n vijftig bekende Hollywoodnamen schreven dat ze geen filmopnames meer zouden doen in Georgia als de wet werd aagenomen. Hierdoor zou de staat enorm veel geld mislopen.

De brief had geen succes. Daarom begon Alyssa Milano haar seksboycot. De actrice gaat vaker de barricade op. In 2017 was ze een van de eersten in Hollywood die zich aansloot bij de #MeToo-beweging. Die hashtag doorbrak wereldwijd de zwijgcultuur rondom ongewenste intimiteiten.

abloids are often fond of suggesting that celebrities are “just like us!” But in Kaley Cuoco’s case, it’s actually true. Like all of us, she’s Googled herself. She shows off photos of her three dogs like they’re her children (heck, she even named her production company after one). She’s often the first person at the party and the first to leave, even when she tells herself to “be cool.” And yes—even she occasionally gets starstruck. But the difference between us and her is this: She—and she alone—has the distinction of being the second-highest-paid female in television, on what will be the longest-running multicamera series ever, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory. And as that series approaches its end, this happy-go-lucky star reflects on the show that created her career.

When we meet the 33-year-old actress in Encino, Calif., for coffee on Oscar Sunday, she has shot 18 of 24 episodes for Big Bang’s 12th and final season. The end is imminent, and though her disposition is sunny, reality is starting to sink in.

Is she glad? Hell no! The Big Bang Theory cast is her family, and this has been her life for 12 wonderful years. But as this self-proclaimed realist knows, nothing can last forever.

“I feel I go through these waves of depression about it,” she admits. “It’s been like a death. It’s hard to let go of something I’m so used to, that’s been a part of my life for so many years. It’s very bittersweet. It’s a weird mental thing; I’m very excited for the future, but it’s like letting go of a comfort blanket.”

Cuoco can’t help but tear up as she thinks about cutting ties with alter ego Penny, a one-time aspiring actress and Cheesecake Factory waitress-turned-pharmaceutical sales rep from Omaha, Neb. She is the lone relatable voice on a show rife with scientific references and sometimes incoherent nerd jargon, a refreshing foil to geeky Caltech physicists Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), the (now-not-so) new neighbors she befriended after moving into a Pasadena, Calif., apartment complex, as well as their supersmart yet socially challenged friends: aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), physicist Leslie Winkle (Sara Gilbert), neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), microbiologist Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) and comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman).

Many things have changed, yet they’ve also stayed consistently the same since the show kicked off with a bang on September 24, 2007. After nine seasons of makeups and breakups, the unlikely couple of Penny and Leonard tied the knot. Each of the leads has settled down. The late, great cosmologist Stephen Hawking has shown up not once, but twice. The apartment elevator still isn’t working (a running gag, as it hasn’t been operational since 2003, four years before the series started).

The new series follows the actors — playing “heightened” versions of themselves — as they reunite and consider launching a 90210 revival. “It’s about the characters behind the characters,” Garth tells EW exclusively. “It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together.” The promo shoot featured in the video above was a homecoming of sorts, adds Priestley. “Since all of us had been at one of those gallery shoots together, it had been 25 years, so it was really kind of special. We all had lot of fun that day, there was a lot of joking around. They had a hard time getting us to actually focus and do anything because we were all messing around so much.”

As for those scripts they’re reading in the video above? Well… “That was a beautiful title page, wasn’t it?” jokes Garth. But there will be words on those pages soon enough: BH90210 goes into production at the end of May, and the six-episode series premieres Wednesday, August 7 at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Depending on your age, you may know Holly Marie Combs as Piper on “Charmed,” Ella Montgomery on “Pretty Little Liars,” maybe as Kimberly Brock on “Picket Fences,” or perhaps from a few movies along the way, including one in which the charming actress played a villain!

However you know her, you know her. She has a distinct look and an even more distinctive voice, and a knack for creating memorable characters.

Her real-life role is taking center stage with fiancè, Mike Ryan, and concentrating on special moments with family and friends. Combs has three sons, 10, 12 and 14, and a 16-year-old stepdaughter, so there’s always people around and something going on, which is just how she likes it. And right now, Ella Montgomery is the character she most identifies with because she is a mother, too. Do the children think of her as a star?

“I’m just Mom to them. They don’t pay attention to my career,” Combs said. “Or maybe if we go to the grocery store and someone says something to me, the kids are like, ‘oh, yeah.’ The two older boys have come to Comic Con events with me just to meet somebody cooler than me.”

She’s the first to admit that the acting life can take a toll on family life. “On ‘Charmed,’ we would put in 14-, 16-, even 18-hour days, six days a week for nine months of the year,” Combs said. “It was a lot. As the years went by, we figured out how to be more efficient and got it down to five days a week.”

How the star of “Who’s the Boss?” and “Charmed” became an A-List activist of the Me Too era

In the midst of the Harvey Weinstein maelstrom, Alyssa Milano fired off a nighttime tweet. She thought, “Let’s just try this.”

Ten minutes of her attention, tops. Then she went to sleep beside her young daughter.

This was October 2017. You probably saw it. Everybody saw it.

“If you’ve been sexually harassed or assaulted write ‘me too’ as a reply to this tweet.”

She recalls thinking, “At least it puts the focus on the victims in a way that they didn’t have to tell the story of their accusers.”

Milano awoke to 53,000 replies. Within 24 hours, MeToo appeared 12 million times across Twitter and Facebook. Within two days, the phrase was trending in 85 countries.

Milano, 46, has been bedroom-poster famous since she was a tween on “Who’s the Boss?” yet felt “like I was in over my head,” she says, sitting in a tony Manhattan hotel lounge over lunch last month. “But I realized that this collective pain could be transformed into a collective power.” She also went back into therapy to deal with two assaults and the resulting panic attacks that she had endured for years.

She was named one of “The Silence Breakers,” Time’s collective Person of the Year. Outspoken and ubiquitous, Milano went into overdrive. She appeared on Capitol Hill during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, and protested in front of the White House. She visited Parkland, the border and Flint, Mich., launched an activist collective challenging the NRA’s political influence, campaigned for Democratic candidates and against Georgia’s abortion bill.

In 1998 sloeg Rose McGowan (45) iedereen met verstomming toen ze zo goed als naakt op de rode loper van de Video Music Awards van MTV verscheen. Nu, twintig jaar later, vertelt de actrice in het magazine People dat het eigenlijk een statement was omdat ze die dag voor de eerste keer in het openbaar verscheen nadat ze was verkracht.
“Ik droeg die outfit met een reden”, aldus de actrice die in de jaren 90 razend populair was door haar hoofdrol van Paige Matthews in ‘Charmed’. “Het was mijn eerste openbare verschijning sinds ik verkracht was. Het voelde een beetje als Russell Crowe die in ‘Gladiator’ uit de arena komt en vraagt: Are you not entertained? Daarom heb ik dat gedaan. Het was mijn antwoord op het feit dat ik aangerand was.”

McGowan, 25 jaar in 1998, droeg die dag een doorkijkjurk waarin enkel haar kruis bedekt was en zorgde toen voor hét moment van de awardshow. De actrice was in die tijd samen met showrocker Marylin Manson, met wie ze tussen 1997 en 2001 een relatie had en zich zelfs verloofde.

McGowan was bij de opkomst van de #metoo-beweging één van de eerste vrouwen die producer Harvey Weinstein openlijk van misbruik beschuldigde. Ze vertelde begin 2018 dat hij haar in op zijn hotelkamer verkracht had tijdens het Sundance Film Festival in 1997.
