Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan says she is being blackmailed by someone threatening to share a sex tape and speak out about her history of drug use.
“I am an adult in supposedly the ‘freest country in the world,’” she wrote in one of a series of tweets fired off late Wednesday night. “I try to live my life by doing what I want when I want. Believe me, I’ve earned it. Here’s the breaking news: I have lived in Hollywood by myself since I was 15.”
In late October, she sued the disgraced movie mogul and two of his former attorneys for allegedly engaging in racketeering to silence her and derail her career before she accused him of rape in 2017.
“Harvey Weinstein was able to perpetrate and cover up decades of violence and control over women because he had a sophisticated team working on his behalf to systematically silence and discredit his victims,” she said in a statement at the time. “My life was upended by their actions, and I refuse to be intimidated any longer.”
Weinstein, 67, is scheduled for trial in January on charges alleging that he raped an unidentified woman in his New York City hotel room in 2013 and performed a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006.
WEINSTEIN SEEKS MERCY IN $45M SUIT AMID HEALTH ISSUES, UPCOMING RAPE TRIAL
Late Wednesday, McGowan defended herself and her right to live “as I see fit” and to be “a cheerleader” for others, she wrote in the sometimes expletive-laced missive.
“I refuse to take down the truth. I refuse to live in fear of a stranger and their judgements (sic). No one should live in fear,” she said, later adding in a subsequent tweet: “So, here’s a heads up: if yet another stolen sex tape goes online, or if you hear (clutch those pearls!) that I enjoy recreational adult pursuits, know that it was never my intention to discuss my private life in this way. I’m done being bullied…”
HARVEY WEINSTEIN CLAIMS HE ‘PIONEERED’ SUPPORT FOR WOMEN IN HOLLYWOOD
Earlier in the week, Weinstein griped in a sit-down interview with Page Six that he “pioneered” support for women in the film industry but his “work has been forgotten.”
Front page of New York Post, Dec. 16, 2019
“I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago… I did it first! I pioneered it!” he said in his first interview in over a year. “It all got eviscerated because of what happened. … My work has been forgotten.”McGowan later tweeted her thoughts on his complaints, writing: “This is about stopping a prolific rapist. You.”

Alyssa Milano is rocking a perfectly purple hairstyle!
The actress shared a photo of herself looking almost unrecognizable on the set of her new comedy, “The Now,” where she’ll play a recurring character named Sarah.
Milano, 46, is sporting gorgeous purple tresses, which she matched with purple eye shadow, purple nails and a purple camisole. She completed the look with a septum piercing.
“Meet Sarah, the tow truck driver,” Milano wrote.
“The Now” is a comedy from The Farrelly Brothers, who have been behind movies such as “There’s Something About Mary,” “Dumb and Dumber,” and “Hall Pass.” The show will air on Quibi, the hotly anticipated shortform streaming service from Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman, which is set to launch in April 2020.
“The Now” is said to center around Dave Franco, who will play Ed Poole — a man trying to forget his past, not worry about the future and to simply enjoy the present. In addition to Milano, the star-studded show includes Daryl Hannah and Bill Murray, although additional details about the comedy have been kept under wraps.

Shannen heeft haar verzekeringsmaatschappij aangeklaagd omdat ze weigeren haar al claims te honoreren na de schade aan haar huis in Malibu na de bosbranden. Actress Shannen Doherty is allegedly refusing to let her doctor be grilled under oath in the ongoing court battle over damage damage to her Malibu mansion.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, State Farm Insurance has rushed to court demanding a judge step in.
Doherty sued State Farm accusing them of refusing to cover her claims relating to damage done by the Woolsey Fire. The insurance company denies all allegations of wrongdoing. The case is headed to trial in the near future.
In newly filed court documents, State Farm claims, “As of September 11, 2019, State Farm has paid benefits totaling $1,084,948.01 to clean and repair plaintiff’s home and personal property, and for temporary housing and furniture rental. Although State Farm paid for the damage to plaintiff’s home, personal property, and for temporary housing and furniture rental, plaintiff nevertheless alleges she is entitled to additional benefits under her Homeowner’s Policy.”
They claim to have requested a site inspection of her home, months after the fire ended. State Farm claims Doherty has given them the run around and has yet to allow them to access the home damage.
Further, they claim both Doherty’s husband, Kurt Iswarienko, of refusing to sit for a deposition in the case.
“On November 19, 2019, State Farm asked Iswarienko on four instances whether he would appear at his deposition or whether alternative dates were available. Each inquiry was met with a vague response, and Iswarienko, for the first time, represented that State Farm’s desire to depose him was “harassing”.
They accuse Doherty of refusing to produce relevant medical records from her physician Dr. Piro. The motion states, “After State Farm made repeated attempts to confirm the deposition of Dr. Piro, plaintiff’s counsel advised that it was representing Dr. Piro in connection with subpoena and that objections would be served.”
