Shannen Doherty was gisteren samen met haar danspartner Mark Ballas te gast bij de talkshow “Good Morning America”. Hier werd er o.a. gepraat over hun eliminatie in ‘Dancing With The Stars’.

Shannen Doherty is de eerste deelnemers die gister is wegegestemd bij de Amerikaanse versie van “Dancing With The Stars”. Pamela Anderson is ook bij de laatste twee danser beland. Zo vertelde Shannen het volgende over haar vertrek in het programma.

“I think that dancing isn’t really my thing, I’m an actor and it’s what I love to do. I did this for my dad, and I did exactly what I wanted. And I think it’s fate — my partner is hurt… I’m a bit sad but mainly for my partner [Mark Ballas] and my dad. I love you all.”

Ze twitterde het volgende naar haar danspartner Mark Ballas

“I love you and I’m sorry.”

En dit twitterde ze naar naar haar voormalig Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs,

“I love you. Now if I can stop crying…”

Op 12 april zal Alyssa Milano’s nieuwe comedy serie ¨Romantically Challenged¨ in premiere gaan. Alyssa speelt in de serie de rol van Rebecca Thomas. De serie gaat over 4 vrienden die de liefde van hun leven proberen te vinden, in de hectische wereld van daten. Promotiefoto’s en nieuwe still van de eerste aflevering zijn ook verschenen.

Hier gaat de eerste aflevering “Rebecca’s One Night Stand” over:

Lisa finally convinces Rebecca to have her first one night stand. But the always polite Rebecca violates Lisa’s number-one rule by calling her date, Leo, the morning after. Vanaf 26 april is de tvseries “Army Wives” weer wekelijks te zien op net5 om 21:30. In de serie speelt ‘Charmed’ acteur Drew Fuller de rol van ‘Trevor LeBlanc’.

De Amerikaanse dramaserie Army Wives is vanaf maandag 26 april weer te zien bij NET 5! Het draait hierin om vier vrouwen en een man die allen een dienstplichtige partner hebben en samenleven in het legerdorp Fort Marshall. Bijna alle hoofdpersonen waren in de laatste aflevering van het eerste seizoen in de locale bar, toen een wanhopige militair binnenkwam met een bomgordel om. Wie hebben deze aanslag overleefd en wie niet? Dat is te zien in het tweede seizoen van Army Wives, elke maandag om 21.30 uur.

‘Charmed’ zal een comeback maken in de vorm van een stripboek! De stripboeken zullen verder gaan waar de serie stopte in het laatste 8ste seizoen. In juni zal het eerste exemplaar verschijnen, het stripboek zal daarnaast ook geïntroduceerd worden op het San Diego Comic-Con International in Juli 2010. Ik ben benieuwd of de stripboeken ook in Nederland/België te koop zullen zijn en ook vertaald zullen worden naar het Nederlands.

The Power of Three is making a comeback.

Zenescope Entertainment revealed this week that they’ve obtained the comic book rights for “Charmed,” a supernatural-themed TV series that aired on the WB Network for eight seasons. Created in 1998 by Constance M. Burge, the series followed three sisters — Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) and Paige (Rose McGowan) — who were descended from a long line of good witches and tasked to face the forces of evil.

Zenescope’s “Charmed” comic book series will pick up with an original story that takes place after the series’ eighth season. Paul Ruditis and Raven Gregory (“The Gift”) are co-writing the title with artist Dave Hoover (“Captain America”). Ruditis has written several books based on TV series — including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Roswell” — in addition to two “Charmed” novels.

“The key to this series success is to strike a nice balance in creating a brand new, intriguing storyline for fans of the television show while also not alienating Zenescope and comic book readers who haven’t really followed it before but might want to now that it’s a comic,” said Zenescope Editor-in-Chief Ralph Tedesco.

“The great thing is that Paul and Raven have done just that with this story arc,” continued Tedesco. “Anybody will be able to pick up this series and follow it whether or not they ever watched the show before. Moreover, fans of the show are going to be thrilled when they see where this story goes.”

Given the newfound freedoms of the comic book medium, it may even be possible for characters like Prue (one of the original Halliwell sisters portrayed by Shannen Doherty) and Cole Turner (Julian McMahon) to return in some form. Both characters were written out of the “Charmed” TV series when their respective actors left the show.

“Charmed # 0” will be released in June and the first issue will debut at the San Diego Comic-Con International in July.
