Greg zal vanaf 13 november in Amerika te zien zijn in de soap ‘Days of our Lives’. In de serie zal hij de rol van Eric Brady gaan vertolken.
The official word has finally come down from NBC, Salem lovers: Actor Greg Vaughan, best known to General Hospital fans as (the third) Lucky Spencer, has joined Days of our Lives.
Starting Nov. 13, Vaughan will assume the role of Eric Brady, the estranged brother of Sami (Alison Sweeney) and the son of Roman Brady and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). This is the first time Sami’s brother has appeared in Salem after leaving for Colorado in 2000.
Eric was last played by Jensen Ackles from 1997-2000.
“I seem to be that go-to guy [for roles originated by others],” Vaughan told EW exclusively. “But it’s more than that. The roles speak to me. It’s such a great ensemble.”
Before making various appearances in primetime on shows like 90210 and GCB, Vaughan co-starred on General Hospital as Lucky from 2003 to 2009. He also played Diego from 2002-03 on CBS’ The Young and the Restless. “Now I have the privilege of saying I’ve appeared on soaps on every network,” Vaughn said. “It’s such a great medium — fast paced, and it’s trained me well.”
Vaughan started work on Days this week. When he makes his debut on the daytime sudser in November, it will be revealed that his character has been doing philanthropy work around the world.
“He’s been a world photojournalist,” explains Vaughan. “He’s just a guy who has a found a new direction in life. He has kind of re-gravitated in a different direction, more so than what the audience expects. The question will most likely be why he has chosen this new direction in life.”
