Actrice Madeleine Mantock die vanaf het eerste seizoen is te zien als oudste en half-zus Macy Vaughn heeft besloten de serie te verlaten. In een persbericht aan TVLine laat ze weten dat ze dankbaar aan de CW en CBS studios is voor haar tijd bij de serie en dat ze haar steunde bij haar moeilijke besluit te vertrekken. Daarnaast bedankt ze de fans en weer ze zeker dat het vierde seizoen spectaculair zal zijn. Madeleine deelt niet de redenen voor haar besluit te vertrekken maar dit houd wel in dat ze a.s. vrijdag in de seizoensfinale van seizoen 3 voor het laatst te zien zal zijn.
Showrunners Lix Kruger en Craig Shapiro laten weten dat ze haar net als de fans zullen missen, en dankbaar zijn het geweldige en inspirerende werk dat ze voor de ‘Charmed’ gedaan heeft. Ook respecteren ze haar besluit in deze moeitelijk tijd waarin iedereen zijn hart moet volgend. Ze wensen haar het alle beste en laten de deur voor haar open zodat ze kan terugkeren als Macy, op welke manier dan ook…
Veel website vinden dat met Madeleine besluit te vertrekken de geschiedenis zich herhaald, dit omdat in de orignele serie actrice Shannen Doherty ook vertrok uit de serie na het derde seizoen. Het is nog even afwachten hoe Macy verhaallijn in seizoen 3 tot een einde komt en in 2022 zullen we zullen wat dit inhoud voor het vierde seizoen die vanaf dan te zien zal zijn.
The Power of Two will have to do when Charmed returns for its fourth season next year. Madeleine Mantock, who has played eldest sister Macy Vaughn since the reboot premiered in 2018, will not be returning, TVLine has learned exclusively.
“Playing Macy on Charmed for the last three seasons has been an immense privilege and I have so enjoyed working with our fantastic producers, creatives, cast and crew,” Mantock tells TVLine in an exclusive statement. “I’m incredibly grateful to The CW and CBS Studios for my time on the show and for being a brilliant support in my difficult decision to leave. Huge thanks to our fans who can look forward to, what I know will be, a spectacular fourth season.”
Only one episode remains in Charmed‘s third season, making Friday’s finale (The CW, 8/7c) Mantock’s final episode as a series regular.
“We can’t thank Madeleine enough for her incredible and inspiring work on Charmed,” showrunners Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro tell TVLine exclusively. “We will miss her as much as the fans will, but we also respect her decision to move on. This is a difficult time in the world, and everyone has to follow their heart. We wish her well, and the door is always open for a return visit from Macy…one way or another!”
Coincidentally, Shannen Doherty — who portrayed eldest sister Prue Halliwell on the original Charmed — also departed the WB drama after three seasons. Her exit resulted in Prue’s death, as well as the arrival of long-lost fourth sister Paige (Rose McGowan).
A few key questions remain: How will Macy be written off the show? Will Mel and Maggie discover another long-lost sister with whom to reconstitute the Power of Three, or might another relative like Josefina simply take her place? And what does this mean for Harry, who was so in love with Macy that he gave up his immortality to grow old with her? Some of those will likely be answered during Friday’s finale, while others will roll over to Season 4, which is expected to premiere in early 2022.
For now, all we can do is speculate based on the finale’s official logline: “When an encounter with the Whispering Evil leaves Macy on the brink of death, Mel and Maggie cast an ancient spell sending the Charmed Ones off on a series of epic adventures. Ik heb enkele afleveringsstills toegevoegd van Finola in de Amerikaanse soap serie ‘General Hospital’. In de serie is ze o.a. samen te zien met acteur Wes Ramsey die in ‘Charmed’ de rol van volwassen Wyatt speelde in enkele aflevering van seizoen 6-8.

Het is bekend geworden dat het derde seizoen van Julian’s serie ‘F.B.I: Most Wanted’ op 21 september zal beginnen op de Amerikaanse zender CBS.
Rose was op 23 juni te gast bij Fox News, hier sprak ze o.a. haar steun uit voor Britney Spears die momenteel vecht om de curatele waar ze al 12 jaar onder staat te stoppen via de rechtbank.
Actor Rose McGowan is showing support for Britney Spears following the pop icon’s explosive conservatorship testimony. For those unfamiliar, on June 23, Spears spoke openly to a judge and lawyers about her conservatorship, which has been in place since 2008 and gives legal control over her life and finances to others, most notably her father. The Glory singer asked the court, plainly and explicitly, to end the conservatorship, saying, “It’s my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested.” She then outlined instances of abuse and manipulation she says she’s endured over the last decade, including not being allowed to have her IUD removed. “This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good,” she said. “I deserve to have a life.”
Now McGowan, the first woman to come forward about Harvey Weinstein’s abuse, is speaking out in support of Spears, and her comments are going viral. The actor and activist appeared on Fox News on June 23 and commended Spears for her testimony, calling it a “cultural reset.”
“[Britney’s] father put her under a conservatorship at age 25,” McGowan said. “Many in the media laughed and scorned her when she shaved her head. I lived in Hollywood during that time, and I’ve made it my life’s mission to tell all of you out there what so many of you know deep down: that fame and Hollywood and the media machine are rotten to the core. They do hurt and they do damage.”
In regards to the testimony, McGowan said, “What happened today is literally a cultural landmark moment. It is a cultural reset. [Spears] got to speak for the first time, I believe, in her life, honestly and openly. What has been done to her is horrific. I know it seems like, ‘Why should we care about a rich pop princess?’ But I think it’s deeper than that.
“I think she’s ready to blow the lid,” McGowan continued. “She said today she’s ‘so angry, it’s insane.’ I understand that kind of rage. I was the first to go on the record about Harvey Weinstein and that kind of sickness, the people that are truly putting your entertainment in your head. And while we’ve all been entertained by Britney Spears, she’s been being tortured.”
Shannen’s rechtzaak tegen haar verzekeringsmaatschappij State Farm General Insurance begint .a.s dinsdag. In 2019 klaagde ze haar verzekeringsmaatschappij aan nadat ze niet alle kosten dekte van de Woolsey bosbranden. Alhoewel de maatschappij wel al $1 miljoen heeft uitgekeerd aan Shannen, zegt zij recht te hebben op nog zo’n $3 miljoen. Daarnaast beschuldigd ze de verzekeringsmaatschappij van intimidatie en druk richting haar om een regeling met hun te treffen. Daarnaast zouden ze persoonlijke informatie gelekt hebben zoals haar adres en medische informatie. Hierdoor voelde Shannen zich gedwongen om aan de media te laten weten dat haar kanker terug is, momenteel vecht ze tegen vergevorderde borstkanker dat ook uitgezaaid is naar o.a. haar lymfeklieren.
De verzekeringsmaatschappij State Farm General Insurance heeft in een verklaring laten weten dat ze aan Shannen al meer geld hebben uitgekeerd dan waar ze recht had op volgens haar polis.
Een fan op TikTok reageerde op Alysa met de vraag of ze haar medicatie had ingenomen. Hierop besloot Alyssa op te zijn over haar mentale problemen. In 2018 was ze er ook al open over in een interview met Time Magazine, om zo het taboe erover te breken en het normaal te maken om er met andere over te praten. Ze gaf toen toe sinds geboorte van haar zoon Milo met een angst- en paniekstoornis te hebben, toen ze een postnatale depressie kreeg. Ze heeft eerder al hebben ;laten weten hiervoor kort te zijn opgenomen en een therapeut heeft. Om haar angste onder controle te houd neemt ze enkele dag medicatie, omdat ze wil kunnen functioneren in het dagelijks leven. Ze roep fans daarom ook op om hulp te zoeken als ze deze nodig hebben.
Alyssa Milano shut down a social media troll who snarkily referred to her mental health struggles.
“Did you forget to take your medication?” the user asked in one of her videos. “First of all, no I did not forget to take my medication,” Milano, 48, responded candidly in a separate clip. “I take my medication every day.”
Detailing her medical history, she continued, “I have anxiety with complex PTS and panic disorder, so I take my medicine because I like to just be functional.” The “Who’s The Boss?” star then added, “I think it’s time that we de-stigmatize medication from mental health like we’ve de-stigmatized say, I don’t know, Botox. OK, thanks for listening.”
Milano reiterated her point in her caption, writing, “Can we try to get away from flippantly using mental health language as descriptors or insults?”
Several fans and celebs, including fellow celeb Sharon Stone, applauded the former “Charmed” star for her stance on mental health. “Brava,” Stone wrote. One fan commented, “Preach🙌 I’m so over society using metal health as a comical insult. Let’s not shame or demoralize people for wanting to maintain a level of health and functioning.”
Milano has been working to normalize the public’s view on mental health struggles since 2018. That year, she revealed in an essay for TIME magazine that she began battling anxiety after the birth of her son Milo in 2011. “My Generalized Anxiety Disorder was most likely triggered by my postpartum depression, and my journey with mental illnesses began with my journey into motherhood,” she shared.
The TV star also disclosed in that piece that she suffered an anxiety attack her first night back from the hospital. “I felt like I had already disappointed my child,” she wrote. “I felt like I failed as a mother, since I was not able to give birth vaginally or nourish him with the breast milk that had not come in yet. My heart raced. My stomach seized up. I felt like I was dying.”
Earlier this week, Milano continued to be candid with her followers in a video about the work it took to overcome her anxiety, urging her followers in the caption, “Ask for help if you need it. ❤️.”
De bedenker van de serie ‘Manifest’ Jeff Rake zet zijn hoop nu op het maken van een film om fans een sluiting te geven. De serie werd eerder door NBC gecanceld en evt. andere partijen zoals Netflix stonden niet open op de serie op te pakken. Hierdoor is de serie geëindigd met een grote cliffhanger, en was het verhaallijn van de serie al uitgedacht voor de eerder geplande 6 seizoen. Vanaf seizoen 1 was de serie een succes maar langzaamaan verloor het meer vaste kijkers, sinds kort is de serie te zien op de Amerikaanse Neflix waar het momenteel één van de best bekeken series is. Dit was helaas voor Netflix niet genoeg om de serie een nieuwe kans te geven.
Het is onduidelijk in hoeverre hier al concrete plannen voor zijn voor het maken van de film, in een interview met EW zei Jeff Rake het volgende erover:
“Twenty days after we’ve premiered on Netflix, I’ve kind of moved away from the plan of finding a home for seasons 4, 5, and 6 of Manifest, even though I’ve always talked about Manifest being a six-season show, Back in the day, I laid out a six-season roadmap for NBC, and I’m halfway through. I had giant cliffhangers in the season 3 finale, so I had every intention to have three more seasons to slow-burn the back half of the story. I’m reading the writing on the wall that we may not find a home for three more seasons of the show, so I moved to plan B: Some platform would bankroll a feature or a movie finale, like we saw with Timeless, Firefly, and Deadwood. I just need a modest budget to tell the story. I am personally sketching out how to consolidate the back half of the series into a much more streamlined, cut-to-the-chase two-hour finale that would distill all of the hanging chads of the series. That’s where my head is at. There is a huge appetite for people wanting to know what’s that end of the story, what happened to the passengers, what ultimately happened to that airplane.”
Sarah was afgelopen woensdag op de premiere van de nieuwe ‘Gossip Girl’ serie voor HBO Max in NYC. Dit was voor het eerst in bijna 2 jaar tijd dat ze fysiek weer aanwezig was op een event.
