Congratulations to GENERAL HOSPITAL star Finola Hughes (Anna) who is now a proud card-carrying member of the Directors Guild of America! “This happened,” the actress-turned-director shared on Instagram along with a snapshot of her membership card. “I cannot tell you how proud I am to be a new member! I have many people to thank for making this happen. Please look out for my TV directorial debut on GOOD TROUBLE in February! (Will post the date when I know).”

Becoming a DGA member is not easy. First, you must prove yourself by directing independent projects, then your application has to be approved, and you need to be endorsed by three DGA members before you can be accepted. In 2016, Hughes took some time off from GH to helm the pilot for a potential TV series titled CYPRESS BAYOU. In 2013, she also directed the independent feature The Bet and her IMDb credits list the indie movie Byrd and the Bees — featuring former castmate and good friend Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke) — as in production.

GOOD TROUBLE is the spinoff of THE FOSTERS currently airing on Freeform, and we will keep you updated on when Hughes’ episode is scheduled to air so you can be sure to tune in. Fellow actress-turned-director Kimberly McCullough, who played Hughes’ TV daughter, Robin Scorpio, was also excited by the news. “YAS!” she posted to Instagram. “Congrats. There’s something about that card that makes you feel like you’ve arrived. Welcome to the club!”

Ellen heeft een terugkerende rol gescoord in het tweede seizoen van de NBC serie ‘Manifest’

Andrene Ward-Hammond (Claws) and Ellen Tamaki (Charmed) are set for recurring roles opposite Melissa Roxburgh on the upcoming second season of NBC’s hit missing plane drama series Manifest, from Jeff Rake, Warner Bros. TV, Universal Television and Compari Entertainment.

Clearly influenced by the mystery of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, in Manifest, when Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. Yet in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible.

Ward-Hammond will play Captain Kate Bowers, the newly appointed captain of Michaela’s (Roxburgh) precinct. From a long line of cops, she’s direct, by the book and doesn’t suffer fools.

Tamaki will portray Drea Mikami, the bright and confident detective Bowers (Ward-Hammond) assigns as Michaela’s (Roxburgh) new partner.

In addition to Roxburgh, Manifest stars Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina and Parveen Kaur.

Rake writes and executive produces. David Frankel directed and executive produced the pilot. Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Jackie Levine and Len Goldstein also executive produce.

Ward-Hammond recently played recurring roles in Fox’s Star and Claws on TNT. In film, she starred as caretaker Laura in the critically-acclaimed Loving, and in the indie drama Strange Weather with Holly Hunter and Carrie Coon. Ward-Hammond is repped by Alexander White Agency.

Tamaki was most recently seen as series regular Niko Hamada on the CW reboot of Charmed. Film credits include We Only Know So Much, The Drowning starring Julia Stiles, the upcoming Inez & Doug & Kira, Valentina (HBO) and web projects, Dichos and The Holdouts. She is represented by CESD and Anthony Calamita at AC Management.

Rose McGowan wants to forget her relationship with Rain Dove.

“Does anyone out there know how to fix a Wikipedia entry?” she tweeted on Tuesday. “I broke up with my ex [Dove] 6 months ago and they are still listed as my partner. I would like my name to be cleared of association.”

Soon after tweeting, Wikipedia removed Dove as McGowan’s partner.

McGowan’s tweet comes after the LGBTQ activist admitted to selling incriminating private text messages from Asia Argento where she allegedly admitted to having sex with a minor to TMZ for $10,000 in an hour-long YouTube video. Argento and McGowan are both outspoken Harvey Weinstein accusers.

“When it came to the text messages with the Asia Argento thing, I sold them to TMZ,” said Dove, who uses they/them pronouns. “I asked for advice from my closest friends, some of which are very powerful and wonderful people and very connected in the industry, and they said just do it but that I might not have enough protection from libel and lawsuits and I might need to get a lawyer.”

They continued, “I got so much backlash for sharing these messages about someone having sex with a minor. I mean, I honestly thought I was in the right.”

Dove said they felt like they made the “right decision” but that they “could have been honest from the beginning.” They also shared that 20% of the $10,000 was given to a publicist who helped protect Dove’s anonymity, 10% went to a close friend to hold onto, and the rest went into Dove’s bank account until “everything was done.” Dove then donated the remains to the anti-sexual assault organization RAINN as well as using it to pay their rent.

Dove also opened up about their relationship with McGowan, saying, “I really loved Rose, and there were times in which I was insecure about whether or not she loved me back … I accepted that our relationship was probably just for her benefit. It happened during a time in which she was being called out for being transphobic.”

McGowan took to Instagram to respond to Dove’s accusation in a screenshot of a series of texts to “explain some s–t about a piece of s–t.”

“There’s some bulls—t on the horizon. My horrible, monstrous, con artist ex-partner is a pathological liar and NBC just did an expose of her life but she’s trying to say that I was part of her shenanigans. I absolutely am not,” McGowan wrote on Tuesday. “She conned me during a period where my brain was breaking. Rain, my disgusting ex, sold a story about Asia Argento to TMZ.

“I found out definitively that Rain was a liar and a fraud and sold the stories 6 months ago when her [now] ex-best friend spilled the beans. She is a monster and I believed Rain over Asia and Rain told me that Asia said she’d started molesting a young actor at age 12. Asia slept with him when he was 17 and Rain said should I go to the police? And I said if it’s 12 years old you absolutely have to.

“The NYT did an expose of the Asia thing so was coming out no matter what, but Rain sold text messages between she and Asia.

“Rain was pretending to help Asia, But really she was getting material to sell. Rain targeted me as a job for her con artist skills. Con artists come to you when you’re down and boy. My first opposite sex experience turned out to be a monstrous dirty fiasco.

“So there’s the saga. I f—ked up, but I [was] not in my right mind and it was an accident. Everyone lied to me.”

When asked for further comment, McGowan’s rep told Page Six to “please refer to her instagram post.”

Dove said they decided to come clean for the new year.

“I haven’t always been the best person but it’s about to be 2020, the year of clarity, and I need to start in a space where people know who they’re dealing with when they’re dealing with me,” Dove said through sobs. “I’m not a person who acts the way that I used to. I’m a person who made poor choices. I have also made mistakes and I’ve hurt people.”

Harvey Weinstein accuser Rose McGowan says she is being blackmailed by someone threatening to share a sex tape and speak out about her history of drug use.

“I am an adult in supposedly the ‘freest country in the world,’” she wrote in one of a series of tweets fired off late Wednesday night. “I try to live my life by doing what I want when I want. Believe me, I’ve earned it. Here’s the breaking news: I have lived in Hollywood by myself since I was 15.”

In late October, she sued the disgraced movie mogul and two of his former attorneys for allegedly engaging in racketeering to silence her and derail her career before she accused him of rape in 2017.

“Harvey Weinstein was able to perpetrate and cover up decades of violence and control over women because he had a sophisticated team working on his behalf to systematically silence and discredit his victims,” she said in a statement at the time. “My life was upended by their actions, and I refuse to be intimidated any longer.”

Weinstein, 67, is scheduled for trial in January on charges alleging that he raped an unidentified woman in his New York City hotel room in 2013 and performed a forcible sex act on a different woman in 2006.

WEINSTEIN SEEKS MERCY IN $45M SUIT AMID HEALTH ISSUES, UPCOMING RAPE TRIAL

Late Wednesday, McGowan defended herself and her right to live “as I see fit” and to be “a cheerleader” for others, she wrote in the sometimes expletive-laced missive.

“I refuse to take down the truth. I refuse to live in fear of a stranger and their judgements (sic). No one should live in fear,” she said, later adding in a subsequent tweet: “So, here’s a heads up: if yet another stolen sex tape goes online, or if you hear (clutch those pearls!) that I enjoy recreational adult pursuits, know that it was never my intention to discuss my private life in this way. I’m done being bullied…”

HARVEY WEINSTEIN CLAIMS HE ‘PIONEERED’ SUPPORT FOR WOMEN IN HOLLYWOOD

Earlier in the week, Weinstein griped in a sit-down interview with Page Six that he “pioneered” support for women in the film industry but his “work has been forgotten.”

Front page of New York Post, Dec. 16, 2019
“I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago… I did it first! I pioneered it!” he said in his first interview in over a year. “It all got eviscerated because of what happened. … My work has been forgotten.”

McGowan later tweeted her thoughts on his complaints, writing: “This is about stopping a prolific rapist. You.”
