Are things better once you reach the top?
Maybe in some situations but as the second season of the Charmed reboot is going to show us, being in charge is not all it’s cracked up to be. That’s where we’ll find the Charmed Ones — half-sisters Macy (Madeleine Mantock), Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) when we see them again for their sophomore season on the CW.
One important thing to know is the show has gone through a bit of a transformation in its second season with new showrunners Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro (Salvation, Extant) and a bigger scale of problems that will require the Power of Three in a big way. And, yes, Harry (Rupert Evans) is also back and, as Kruger and Shapiro told us, we’ll get a bigger sense of who he is and get clued in on his origin story.

Where do we kick off Season 2 given the cliffhangers of the first season?
Liz Kruger: As you know, the Elders are dead and the Charmed Ones are essentially in charge. And though we all dream of being in charge at some point, the reality is that nothing quite prepares you for the weight of the world, and that’s what they’re going to be carrying this season. It turns out the events of season one have destabilized the Magical World, unbeknownst to them when we begin the new season. The Witch World is going to descend into chaos without the Elders protections and we find out that someone – or something – has put a target on the Charmed Ones backs. And that mystery is what’s going to play out in the first half of the season in a mind blowing way.
Craig Shapiro: From there, a lot of what we explore is a great jumping off point since this season is really going to be much more epic in scale. The whole tone of the show is going to be darker, moodier, edgier. And they’re going to explore the Magic World worldwide. It’s not just located in one place and there’s so much more going on than they understood in season one, in the Demon World, in the Witch World, and in the Magic World generally, as we meet all kinds of new magic characters along with demons and witches.

SEASON PREMIERE — Following the devastating loss of The Elders, Mel (Melonie Diaz), Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) and Macy (Madeleine Mantock) take over their duties. Maggie takes time to celebrate her birthday with a big bash, but Mel finds herself too preoccupied with their new responsibilities to join in the fun. As the girls clean up the following morning, Macy shocks her sisters with an announcement. A mysterious hooded foe attacks The Charmed Ones who escape through a portal while Harry (Rupert Evans) has an unnerving encounter with the villain. The girls land in a secret location where they uncover more about the mystical world of The Elders…and community workspaces. Macy nurses a serious wound and Maggie meets a handsome stranger (Jordan Donica.) The Charmed Ones quickly become aware of the gravity of their new roles and must decide if they are truly prepared for the responsibility. Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro (#201). Original airdate 10/11/2019.

De eerste foto van Shannen’s rol in de The CW serie ‘Riverdale’ is verschenen. In de eerste aflevering van het 4e seizoen zal ze te zien zijn als de persoon die verteld hoe personage Fred is omgekomen. Haar rol in de serie is een eerbetoon aan haar goede vriend en voormalig ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ collega Luke Perry die de rol van Fred vertolkte. Hij overleed eerder dit jaar onverwachts na een hersenbloeding. De aflevering zal op 3 oktober te zien zijn op de Amerikaanse zender.
“Shannen plays the person who tells us what happened to Fred,” explains showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “She was there and she’s an unexpected source of comfort to Archie. A big piece of what happened to Fred comes to Archie through Shannen’s character. The scene is so heartbreaking because you really feel Shannen’s love for Luke.”

Alyssa en Holly zullen op 10 oktober samen te zien zijn in een aflevering van het 16e seizoen van ‘Grey’s Anatomy’! Ze zullen zussen spelen van een patiënt die hersendood is na een val op een bouwplaats. Tijdens de aflevering zullen ze moeten beslissen of ze hun zus in leven willen houden of niet.
Tijdens de opnames werkte ze ook weer samen met Krista Vernoff en Andy Reaser, beide waren schrijvers voor ‘Charmed’ en nu executive producers voor ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. De eerste foto’s zijn al verschenen.

De eerste promotiefoto voor het tweede seizoen van ‘Charmed’ is verschenen. The CW heeft de eerste poster vrijgegeven, het nieuwe seizoen start op 11 oktober. Nu deze datum dichter bijkomt zullen er mee foto’s en ook clips gaan verschenen de komende weken.
