Naar verluid zal het eerste seizoen van ‘Charmed’ op 27 mei verschijnen op Netflix in Amerika. Of dit ook automatisch inhoud of dat de serie ook in Nederland op de streamingsdienst verschijnt is niet duidelijk.
Eerder vandaag werd in iedergeval bekend dat dat de overeenkomst tussen Netflix en The CW niet verlengd wordt. In 2016 sloten beide een deal wat inhield dat series een week na de seizoensfinale op de streamingsdienst verschenen en van enkele series verscheen zelfs elke week een nieuwe aflevering zoals ‘Dynasty’, ‘The 100’ en ‘Riverdale’. Ook hier is het nog onduidelijk wat dit voor invloed zal hebben op de beschikbaarheid van de CW series in de toekomst op het platform. Het is dus nog even afwachten.

The CW heeft het plot voor het aankomende tweede seizoen van ‘Charmed’ vrijgegeven. Vanaf het najaar zal de serie op vrijdag te zien zijn op de zender, het is nog niet bekend wanneer het nieuwe seizoen precies begint.
Demons, ghosts, vampires, necromancers – none stood a chance against the bonds of sisterhood. After the murder of their mother Marisol, sisters Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie Vera (Sarah Jeffery) discovered they not only had an older half-sister – the brilliant geneticist Macy (Madeleine Mantock) – but that with the “Power of Three,” they are among the most formidable witches in the world. Having accepted their new destiny as The Charmed Ones, they joined forces with “Whitelighter” witch advisor Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) to stop the impending apocalypse. But saving the world is a tall order, especially when you’re not even sure what your place is in that world. Yes, Mel can stop time with the wave of a hand, but she can’t keep her girlfriend Niko safe – and is forced to rewrite history so the two never met. Yes, Maggie can read minds, but she couldn’t tell that new boyfriend Parker was a half-demon tasked with stealing her and her sisters’ powers. And, sure, Macy can move objects with her mind, but she still reels from being abandoned as a child by her mother. As if that wasn’t enough, Macy, it turns out, isn’t the “half-sister” after all – Mel is – causing identity crises for both Mel and Maggie. In the end, the Charmed Ones defeated demons (both personal and actual), prevented the apocalypse, and saved countless Hilltowne innocents…thanks to Macy absorbing “The Source,” the ultimate power that fuels all magic. The sisters and Harry are battle-scarred but stronger than ever and hoping that life will be a bit simpler now that disaster has been averted. But is life for the Charmed Ones ever simple? Season one ends with their family relationships intact but their romantic lives in flux…. Macy is mourning a lost love just as Harry’s feelings towards her surface. Maggie and Mel both face uncertain romantic prospects. And with The Elders now dead, the magical community turns to the powerful sisters for guidance. Seems the Vera-Vaughn sisters are now in charge. Julian’s nieuwe serie ‘FBI: The Most Wanted’ is een feit. CBS heeft laten weten er een serie van te willen maken na de back-door pilot is de serie ‘FBI’. In de spin-off zal Julian o.a. te zien zijn naar ‘Twilight’ acteur Kellan Lutz en Alana De La Garza uit ‘Law & Order’. De serie zal waarschijnlijk aankomende herfst beginnen op de zender.

Kayley Cuoco is making a lot of big changes in her life. Not long after she wrapped the final season of her hit show The Big Bang Theory, the actress is selling her Tarzana, California, mansion for $6.9 million. In fact, it was listed just one week before the series finale airs on May 16.
While it’s unclear where her next move will be, it’s hard to imagine anything dreamier than this gated Mediterranean-style villa. It has six bedrooms (all with en suite bathrooms) and nine bathrooms, and was meticulously designed by Jeff Andrews, who also decorated the space for the previous owner, Khloé Kardashian. Cuoco loved his work so much, she actually requested to keep pieces owned by the reality star.
“I fell in love with the house but also everything that came with it,” she wrote in the foreword for Andrews’s new book, The New Glamour, in which her home was featured. “The interior decoration, the furniture, the art—I wanted it all!”
Cuoco has said that her dogs love to sit on the BDDW swing in her living room, calling it “the most expensive dog bed I’ve ever bought.”
The blond beauty, who now shares the home with her husband, equestrian Karl Cook, worked with Andrews to make changes throughout the house and to make it her own. For example, she had a custom rug made for the living room to match the colors in her favorite painting. She also added a working swing made of bronze and leather to show off her playful aesthetic. Equestrian-print Hermès wallpaper in the breakfast nook and other horse decor around the home really spoke to the couple’s love of animals.
“All the horse touches in the house make it feel like home,” Cuoco told People.
Elsewhere in the 8,000-square-foot home, you’ll find a huge chef’s kitchen, a movie theater, formal dining and living rooms, a master suite with three walk-in closets, and a terrace. The master bath boasts dual sinks, a spa tub, and a shower with customizable temperature settings and music capability. The backyard is reminiscent of a high-end resort, and comes complete with a pool, spa, a fire pit, an outdoor kitchen, and a covered dining area.

Met een tweet protesteert Hollywoodactrice Alyssa Milano tegen de strenge abortusregels in de Verenigde Staten. Ze roept andere vrouwen op geen seks te hebben ’totdat we onze lichaamsautonomie terughebben’.
Alyssa Milano maakt zich kwaad over de nieuwe wet die deze week in de staat Georgia is aangenomen. De staat wil abortus na de zesde week van de zwangerschap verbieden.
Zodra een arts de hartslag bij de foetus kan horen, moet abortus volgens de wet verboden worden. Daarom wordt het de heartbeat-wet genoemd. Tot deze week mochten vrouwen nog tot twintig weken zwangerschap abortus laten plegen.
Wet aangenomen
Alleen gouverneur Brian Kemp moest de wet nog ondertekenen. Voordat hij dat deed, twitterde hij: “Georgia hecht waarde aan het leven, we komen op voor de onschuldigen en spreken voor degenen die niet voor zichzelf kunnen spreken.”Tegenstanders van de wet wijzen erop dat vrouwen bij zes weken zwangerschap vaak niet eens weten dat ze zwanger zijn. Daar had Kemp geen boodschap aan, hij tekende deze week en nam de wet aan.
Geen opnames meer
Meerdere acteurs en actrices wilden met een open brief nog tegengaan dat Kemp zou tekenen. Zo’n vijftig bekende Hollywoodnamen schreven dat ze geen filmopnames meer zouden doen in Georgia als de wet werd aagenomen. Hierdoor zou de staat enorm veel geld mislopen.De brief had geen succes. Daarom begon Alyssa Milano haar seksboycot. De actrice gaat vaker de barricade op. In 2017 was ze een van de eersten in Hollywood die zich aansloot bij de #MeToo-beweging. Die hashtag doorbrak wereldwijd de zwijgcultuur rondom ongewenste intimiteiten.
Kaley was begin deze maand aanwezig op het afscheids event voor ‘The Big Bang Theory’, eerder op de dag had ze met de cast een handprint ceremonie waardoor hun namen bijgezet worden op de Hollywood Walk of Fame.

abloids are often fond of suggesting that celebrities are “just like us!” But in Kaley Cuoco’s case, it’s actually true. Like all of us, she’s Googled herself. She shows off photos of her three dogs like they’re her children (heck, she even named her production company after one). She’s often the first person at the party and the first to leave, even when she tells herself to “be cool.” And yes—even she occasionally gets starstruck. But the difference between us and her is this: She—and she alone—has the distinction of being the second-highest-paid female in television, on what will be the longest-running multicamera series ever, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory. And as that series approaches its end, this happy-go-lucky star reflects on the show that created her career.
When we meet the 33-year-old actress in Encino, Calif., for coffee on Oscar Sunday, she has shot 18 of 24 episodes for Big Bang’s 12th and final season. The end is imminent, and though her disposition is sunny, reality is starting to sink in.
Is she glad? Hell no! The Big Bang Theory cast is her family, and this has been her life for 12 wonderful years. But as this self-proclaimed realist knows, nothing can last forever.
“I feel I go through these waves of depression about it,” she admits. “It’s been like a death. It’s hard to let go of something I’m so used to, that’s been a part of my life for so many years. It’s very bittersweet. It’s a weird mental thing; I’m very excited for the future, but it’s like letting go of a comfort blanket.”
Cuoco can’t help but tear up as she thinks about cutting ties with alter ego Penny, a one-time aspiring actress and Cheesecake Factory waitress-turned-pharmaceutical sales rep from Omaha, Neb. She is the lone relatable voice on a show rife with scientific references and sometimes incoherent nerd jargon, a refreshing foil to geeky Caltech physicists Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), the (now-not-so) new neighbors she befriended after moving into a Pasadena, Calif., apartment complex, as well as their supersmart yet socially challenged friends: aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), physicist Leslie Winkle (Sara Gilbert), neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), microbiologist Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) and comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman).
Many things have changed, yet they’ve also stayed consistently the same since the show kicked off with a bang on September 24, 2007. After nine seasons of makeups and breakups, the unlikely couple of Penny and Leonard tied the knot. Each of the leads has settled down. The late, great cosmologist Stephen Hawking has shown up not once, but twice. The apartment elevator still isn’t working (a running gag, as it hasn’t been operational since 2003, four years before the series started).

The new series follows the actors — playing “heightened” versions of themselves — as they reunite and consider launching a 90210 revival. “It’s about the characters behind the characters,” Garth tells EW exclusively. “It’s inside the lives of people that lived in those shoes for those 10 years, and it’s about them coming back together.” The promo shoot featured in the video above was a homecoming of sorts, adds Priestley. “Since all of us had been at one of those gallery shoots together, it had been 25 years, so it was really kind of special. We all had lot of fun that day, there was a lot of joking around. They had a hard time getting us to actually focus and do anything because we were all messing around so much.”
As for those scripts they’re reading in the video above? Well… “That was a beautiful title page, wasn’t it?” jokes Garth. But there will be words on those pages soon enough: BH90210 goes into production at the end of May, and the six-episode series premieres Wednesday, August 7 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
