Kaley ontwerpt broeken voor dierenrechten

Kaley Cuoco gaat een spijkerbroekenlijn ontwerpen met Ravin Demin. De opbrengst zal de organisatie Friends of Animals Foundation of Los Angeles ten goede komen.

The Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco is teaming up with Raven Denim to design her own line of jeans. The collaboration, set to launch October 2011, has tapped the designing talents of Cuoco for a women’s line and Beverly Hills 90210‘s Brian Austin Green for a men’s line.

“I am just a jeans lover. I literally live in them,” said Cuoco of the collaboration. “I wanted them to be as comfortable as they make me feel.”

Sales of the celebrity designed denim will benefit the Friends of Animals Foundation of Los Angeles, an organization that provides aid to animals in need. Cuoco emphasizes: “We have to give a voice to the creatures that don’t have one!”

We want to save the animals! The cute pair of jeans that comes along with that is totally cool too.

Charmed beter dan True Blood?

Was Charmed a better show about magic than True Blood?
Everybody looks down on Charmed, the stunted Buffy wannabe that featured Shannon Doherty, Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano as witches. But actually, Charmed handled topics of magic and the responsible use of power better than True Blood has, argues Alyssa Rosenberg over at ThinkProgress.

Among other things, she says Charmed gave us a better sense of the politics of the magical world and the different ways in which magic worked — and most importantly, asked real questions about the ethics of using magic. You get to see how magic really changes people, and what it does to their lives. Oh, and nobody is turned into a perpetual victim the way some people are on True Blood.

Is it time for a reassessment of the Halliwell sisters, and/or a downgrade of Bon Temps?

Rose’s haar nieuwe film Rosewood Lane zal een screening krijgen op het Screamfest film festival in oktober.

Rosewood Lane, a horror movie starring Rose McGowan and directed by Victor Salva, will premiere at Screamfest, the horror festival now entering it’s 11th year. The title is among the first wave of films announced that will screen at the festival, which runs October 14 to 23 at the Chinese 6 Theatres in Los Angeles’ Hollywood & Highland Center.

Rosewood Lane centers on radio talk show psychiatrist (McGowan) who returns to her hometown and takes notices of the unusual behavior of her neighborhood paperboy. Salva is best known for directing the horror movie Jeepers Creepers and supernatural drama Powder.

Shannen gaat trouwen!

Shannen is verloofd met fotograaf Kurt Iswarienko! Het paar trouwt volgend jaar en zal een reality show maken over de voorbereidingen van hun grote dag. De reality serie heeft nog geen naam en zal te zien op de Amerikaanse zender WEtv in januari.

Shannen Doherty is set to marry for the third time and the ceremony is set to be televised for a brand new reality show.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star recently became engaged to celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko and the pair have signed off a deal to chronicle the weeks leading up to the big day and the ceremony itself.

The show will be aired on U.S. network WEtv.

Studio executive John Miller tells Entertainment Weekly: “She’s insanely compelling. People will see a side of Shannen they never expected to see… unfilitered, honest and vulnerable.”

The as-yet-untitled reality series will premiere in January in the US.

Doherty previously exchanged vows with Ashley Hamiliton and Rick Salomon. Both unions lasted less than a year. The actress’ marriage to Salomon was annulled in May, 2003.

Shannen gaat weer naar school!

Shannen Doherty is heading back to school to pursue a college degree in liberal arts.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210, star has signed up to front an advertising campaign for online organisation Education Connection and, as part of her new role as company spokesperson, she’s furthering her own learning and encouraging fans to follow her lead.

In the promotional video, she says, “I’ve played the girl-next-door and the girl-not-so-next-door. I’ve produced, I’ve directed, but now I’m doing something I’ve always wanted to do for me – I’m on my way to getting my college degree.

Shannen is te zien in een reclame spot te zien van ‘Education Connection’.

In “A Check is a Check” news, FOREVER A-LIST SUPERSTAR Shannen Doherty is using her celebrity to support this nation’s education system by getting her liberal arts degree at a Poison Ivy League (which is sort of like ivy league, but sexier) online university thanks to Education Connection.

Brenda Walsh doesn’t say in this mess, but if I sign up will I run into her in the cyber hallways, or get cyber drunk with her before the cyber prom, or cyber hold down that homewrecking whore slut Kelly Taylor while she cyber slaps her in the cyber mouth? Because that’s a selling point. Better yet, Shannen should just dump this Education Connection mess and open an online West Bev High School. It’ll be like Dungeons and Dragons for whores of the early 90s who can’t let go.

Alyssa is gisteren ochtend bevallen van een zoon! Alyssa beviel om half 10 s’ochtends van Milo Thomas Bugliari. Gefeliciteerd aan het blije koppel.

Alyssa Milano and her husband, Dave Bugliari, are the proud parents of a baby boy, JustJared.com can confirm.

The 38-year-old actress gave birth to Milo Thomas Bugliari on Wednesday (August 31) just before 9:30 a.m.

Milo weighed 7 pounds and is 19 inches long!

This is the first child for Alyssa and Dave, who married in 2009. Dave is a talent agent at Creative Artists Agency, while Alyssa most recently starred in ABC’s 2010 sitcom Romantically Challenged.

Congratulations to the happy family!!
