‘We live in this culture of outrage and injury, that we’re going to have to correct enough to kind of go, ‘Wait a minute. None of us came here perfect.’

‘I do believe that there’s a spectrum of behaviour and we’re going to have to figure, you know, there’s a difference between patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation. Both of those behaviours need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn’t be conflated.’

‘I don’t imagine he’s going to do those things again. You know what I mean? I imagine the price that he’s paid at this point is so beyond anything that he—I just think that we have to kind of start delineating between what these behaviors are.’

Alyssa Milano and Sarah Silverman have joined the growing #MeAt14 hashtag campaign to bring awareness about the age of sexual consent.

The social media campaign was started following The Washington Post story last Thursday about US Senate nominee Roy Moore, 70, allegedly initiating a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl when he was aged 32.

Twitter users have been using the hashtag to share photos of themselves at age 14 in an effort to raise awareness about the age of consent and to underscore how a 14-year-old child is not equipped to consent to sex with adults.

The Washington Post first reported on the sexual misconduct allegations against Alabama candidate Moore, including from three other women who say he pursued them when they were between the ages of 16 and 18 and he was in his early 30s.
A fourth woman, Beverly Young Nelson, came forward on Monday to allege that when she was 16, Moore groped her against her will and when she resisted, ‘began squeezing my neck and attempting to force my head into his crotch.’

Shortly before Nelson’s press conference alongside attorney Gloria Allred, Moore released a statement doubling down on his initial denial of the allegations.
In the statement, Moore’s campaign described Allred as ‘a sensationalist leading a witch hunt,’ and again denied ‘any sexual misconduct with anyone’ by Moore.

The #MeAt14 hashtag was launched by North Carolina lawyer Catherine R. Lawson on Thursday night and has been used more than 50,000 times.
Lawson posted a throwback photo of herself as a girl at Sydney Harbour along with the message: ‘Can’t consent at 14. Not in Alabama. Not anywhere. #MeAt14′.
The Raleigh attorney tweeted her reasoning for the hashtag on Saturday and posted: ‘Why I started #MeAt14: Show what a 14-year-old looks like. Affirm they’re not capable of consent. Remind people *kids* deserve protection.’

The legal age of consent varies by state in the US, ranging from 16, which is the minimum, to 18.
The hashtag campaign gained steam after The Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, 56, tweeted a picture of herself at 14 and asked followers to do the same.
‘Who were you at 14?’ she asked.

‘I was on the gymnastics team and sang in the choir. I was not dating a 32 year old man,’ she added.
Milano, 44, shared a photo of herself 30 years ago and wrote: ‘#MeAt14 I worshipped my brother. I loved my dog, Pucci. I loved OMD. I had Big hair. I was happy. I was innocent. Please share your #MeAt14.’
Silverman humorously joined the awareness campaign on Sunday with a black and white throwback photo of herself as a teenager with an older man.

‘#MeAt14 w my boyfriend – JK I’m with my math teacher, Mr James,’ the 46-year-old comedienne posted.
Katie Couric, 60, shared a photo of herself at age 14 and wrote: ‘I was eating a lot of chocolate chip cookie dough and learning to do the ‘hustle’ and not worrying about a 32 year old man trying to hustle me.’
The #MeAt14 hashtag was trending amid overwhelming calls for Moore, a Republican, to step aside in the Alabama Senate race to replace Jeff Sessions who vacated the seat to become US Attorney General.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Monday said he ‘believes the women’ who have accused Moore of sexual misconduct and said he should end his campaign.

“Enter: Alyssa Milano, star of Charmed and all-around amazing human being. Milano recently spoke with In Touch Weekly about a variety of things, but of course, the hottest topic was the oft-spoken-about Charmed reboot. So, is it still happening? From the picture Milano paints, it sounds like this project has already undergone some major changes in regards to what shape it would take — a sign that things are not looking so good.

“They were going to reboot it as a prequel. The script came in last year and they didn’t feel it was strong enough or held up to the integrity of the original, so they decided not to move ahead with it,” she told the magazine.

Equally telling about the quality of the proposed reboot was Milano’s simple personal verdict on the Charmed reboot falling flat in the preproduction phase: “They did the right thing.” Damn.

Milano’s additional comments indicate that along with the quality of the proposed reboot idea seemingly lacking, the show’s other stars are just moving in different directions in regard to their careers right now. “We all said that we would do it, but nobody’s actually put that in motion,” she explained. “I’m working with CBS Studios on my new Netflix show Insatiable, and that’s the studio that was trying to reboot Charmed.”

While it’s exciting that Milano has a new project we can check out soon on Netflix, it’s a little disappointing to know we won’t be reunited with our Charmed faves. Then again, never say never, right?”

I’ve been asked a number of times to comment on the Harvey Weinstein scandal. While I am sickened and angered over the disturbing accusations of Weinstein’s sexual predation and abuse of power, I’m happy – ecstatic even – that it has opened up a dialogue around the continued sexual harassment, objectification and degradation of women. To the women who have suffered any form of abuse of power, I stand beside you. To the women who have come forward against a system that is designed to keep you silent, I stand in awe of you and appreciate you and your fortitude. It is not easy to disclose such experiences, especially in the public eye. Your strength will inspire others. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for fighting this battle so hopefully my daughter won’t have to.

I’ve been an actor for a long time. So long, that when I started, we were called ‘actresses’ – a feminized, watered down name for the same profession our male colleagues have dominated. Somewhere in the early 2000’s it became politically incorrect to call us actresses, and with good reason. After all, there’s no feminized moniker for a director or producer or a writer or doctor or a lawyer. So ‘actresses’ became ‘actors’. But sexual harassment and sexism in the industry did not change with the title change. We were still clearly ‘actresses’ to anyone that saw gender before talent and intelligence.

I can tell you what it meant to be an ‘actress’ then and what it means to be an ‘actor’ (with breasts) now. BUT more importantly, I can tell you what it means to be a woman in our society. In any – and every – profession, women are continuously mistreated. This is not an uncommon occurrence. This is a sick culture. Men like Harvey Weinstein are around every corner. Men who undermine women and their strength, ability and intelligence exist everywhere. Statistics say that 1 in 3 women are sexually harassed in the workplace. Really think about that. Really allow that statistic to become a part of you. Also, while you process it, think about the gender inequality women – particularly women of color – face in salary and opportunity. Actually, fuck the statistics, just do better, world.

Even with these strong feelings – not just about Weinstein but about workplace sexism in general – this statement is complicated for me for personal reasons. Harvey has a wife, who I have had the privilege of working with for the last 5 years on Project Runway All Stars. Georgina Chapman is my friend. She is one of the most special humans I have ever met. Harvey and Georgina also have two very young children who my children have known their entire lives. It is because of my love for Georgina, India and Dashiell that I haven’t publicly commented on this until now. Please don’t confuse my silence for anything other than respect for a dear friend and her beautiful children.

And please know that I fight for women’s rights every day. I am constantly part of this conversation even if I don’t publicly comment on specific scandals. Sexual harassment and assault in the workplace are not just about Harvey Weinstein. We must change things in general. We must do better for women everywhere.

“Prepare for a lot of Alyssa Milano on your TV in 2018!

The actress-producer announced three huge projects on Tuesday. She’s developing a comedy that she’ll star in called Alyssa Milano for Mayor for Lifetime, got promoted to series regular on Netflix’s Insatiable, and is also adapting her graphic novel Hactivist into a potential series for The CW, according to Deadline.

As the title of the Lifetime comedy teases, Milano will play an exaggerated version of herself in the vein of Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm or James Van Der Beek on Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23. Through a weird series of events, Milano will become the mayor of a suburban town and have to navigate the mind-numbing minutia of community politics.

Also on the acting front, Milano is stepping up her role in Netflix’s Insatiable — which was originally discaredd by The CW — after starting off as a guest-star in the show’s pilot. The series is based on lawyer Bill Alverson’s turn from law to beauty pageant coaching. Milano plays his “social-climbing wife” as he tries to turn a bullied teenager into the next teenage pageant queen.

Milano’s relationship with The CW isn’t completely sour though. She’s returning to them to turn Hactivist into a television show. The network attempted to develop it last pilot season but eventually rolled on the project. Now the series has a new writer in Grant Thompson who will try to take the story of Nate Graft and Ed Hiccox, “two twentysomething best friends and co-founders of the most important social networking company in the world, who are recruited to work secretly for the CIA,” to a series order.

Honestly, it’s exhausting just having to write about all of that let alone having to be part of all of it. Get ready for the Milano takeover in 2018.”

“While it was already announced in the earlier part of this year that The CW is delaying its planned reboot of the popular TV series “Charmed” for next year’s Fall TV season, the latest rumors claim that Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano are now talking a lot about their plan to reboot the said series.

There is no denying that “Charmed” is one of the most clamored-for series to be rebooted. After all, the original series still has a cult following to this day that continues to demand more of the Halliwell sisters Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) as the magical witch sisters who protect the innocent.

To recall, The CW announced earlier this year that it was planning to reboot the popular TV series that ran for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006. However, to the dismay of the fans of the original “Charmed,” the network revealed it was planning to make a prequel to the original story that would not involve any of the original cast members.

After making noise on social media, fans of the original “Charmed” succeeded in preventing the reboot from happening as The CW announced that it was delaying the reboot for Fall TV season 2018 with a new script.

As of this writing, there is still no update on The CW’s plan for the reboot of “Charmed,” especially if it will involve the original cast members or not. However, according to a source of Life & Style, Doherty and Milano now talk a lot about their own plans of reviving the series that made them a household name in the past. It remains unclear if it is in conjunction with The CW’s plan or a totally different project at all.

“Alyssa and Shannen are hoping Charmed gets a second life on network TV or Netflix. They have been talking to [co-star] Holly [Marie Combs] about reprising their roles. They’re getting a kick out of the idea of getting to play moms in their 40’s with teenage witches as daughters,” the incognito source told the publication.

It can be recalled that Doherty and Milano had a falling out during their stint on “Charmed,” and it was believed that the conflict was the reason why Doherty left the series after its third season run. However, since Doherty was diagnosed with cancer, the two have rekindled their friendship after Milano reached out to her former co-star.

Doherty announced last April that her cancer is already in remission.

With the renewed friendship between the two, fans can only hope that there will be no more stopping them from reprising their respective “Charmed” roles in a reboot.”

Could fans of “Who’s the Boss” expect a reunion anytime soon? According to its star Alyssa Milano, it’s very possible.

‘I will rape you’ post put on Facebook to advertise…
Instagram used a user-generated image which included the text “I will…

“I think we’re all into it,” the 44-year-old told Closer Weekly. “You know, we kind of all feel a specific way about it, which is what we did in 1984 and it was very forward-thinking — you know, it was a show about a single, divorced woman, mom, who was living with her very promiscuous mother, who also owned her own business, and that just wasn’t depicted on television at that time.

“Then she hired a dude to become her housekeeper, who was a single father. I mean, it was very progressive for that time period and what was on TV at that time, which were family sitcoms. So, really, I feel like we were like a ‘Modern Family’ type of show, so keeping that in mind, I think we’d all be open to it if it lived up to what we did then.”

It also helps that everyone from “Who’s the Boss” are still closely connected.

“I still talk to everybody,” insisted Milano. “The only person who is a little difficult to keep in touch with is Katherine [Helmond] because she’s not on social media or email or anything. She’s in her 90s, but I still communicate with her over the phone and I just saw her — we did the Entertainment Weekly reunion issue and I just got to spend time with her in person, but yeah, we all talk.”

However, there’s one former cast-mate Milano talks to the most.

“Probably Tony [Danza],” she admitted. “He checks in all the time just to see how the kinds are doing, he’s very sweet.”
